Cancellation and Refund Policy
One rule, applied consistently, that you can check before you decide. Being generous before you open something is what makes being firm afterwards reasonable.
Effective 16 September 2026.
1.The rule
Before you open a course you can have all of your money back, for any reason. Opening it delivers it, and after that the purchase is final.
That applies to every product we sell, including the membership. There is no time limit on asking before you have opened anything: a course bought in January and untouched in June is still refundable in June.
We chose a rule that turns on one observable fact, whether you opened it, because that is a rule you can apply to your own situation before you buy and we can apply consistently afterwards. A window measured in days rewards whoever reads the calendar fastest. A threshold measured in percentage completed cannot be checked by the person it is being applied to.
2.What opening means
A purchase is opened when you first access any part of what it contains. For a course, that is opening the course on the learning platform. For a package, it is opening any course inside it. For the membership, it is opening any content in the period you are asking about.
Enrolment on its own is not opening. Being given access and never using it leaves you fully refundable. We keep an access record for exactly this reason, so the question has a factual answer rather than being a matter of anybody’s word.
3.By product
| Product | Before you open it | After you open it |
|---|---|---|
| Any course, package, themed package, The Library, the Due Diligence Kit, Everything | Full refund, for any reason, with no time limit on asking. | None. The purchase is final. |
| The Deal Room, monthly | Full refund if you have opened no content in the period you are asking about. | None. You may cancel at any time and your access runs to the end of the period you have paid for. |
| The Deal Room, annual | Full refund if you have opened no content. | None. |
| One-to-one sessions | A booked session may be moved. It is not refundable. | None. |
| Payment plans | As the product above. A refund covers the amounts you have actually paid, not the plan total. | Withdrawing stops future charges. It does not return amounts already paid. |
4.Cancelling a membership is not the same as a refund
You can cancel a monthly membership at any time, from your account or by emailing us. It stops the next charge and your access runs to the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not pro-rate a part-used month, and cancelling does not by itself return money already paid.
Whether that period is refundable is a separate question, answered by the rule above: if you opened no content in it, it is refundable.
5.Booked sessions
A one-to-one session is paid for at booking. You can move it, and we would rather you moved it than lost it, but it is not refundable. Book a session you intend to keep.
If we have to move a session, you can take the new time or have that session refunded in full.
6.Payment plans
Payment plans are not currently offered for new course purchases. Earlier purchases keep the terms accepted at checkout, including the historic 10 percent fee where applicable. Their refunds, cancellations and access continue under those accepted terms.
7.Term-limited access
Individual courses and the program packages are permanent: once bought and opened they stay in your account. The all-included product is different, and is sold as access for 12 months rather than as a permanent library or a file you keep. That is stated on its own page and at checkout.
A refund, a chargeback or a suspended payment plan closes access on the same path, including any tool access or membership time a purchase granted.
8.How to ask
Email support@officialbusinessdoctor.com from the address on the account, say what you bought, and say that you want a refund. You do not have to give a reason and we will not ask you for one.
We aim to answer within two business days and to issue an approved refund within five business days of approving it. Refunds go back to the original payment method. How long your bank then takes is theirs, and is typically a further five to ten business days.
9.Changes, and what you bought under
We can change this policy, and when we do the change applies to purchases made afterwards. If you have already bought something, you keep the terms that were in effect when you bought it. The effective date at the top of this page is what identifies which set that was.
Nothing here limits any right you have under consumer protection law that cannot be waived by agreement. Where such a law gives you more than this policy does, the law applies.
Results vary. Nothing here is financial, legal, or tax advice.
